Efficient Discrimination of Some Moss Species by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and Chemometrics

نویسندگان

چکیده

Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy with the attenuated total reflectance (ATR) technique was used to classify 14 samples (11 species) from three moss families (Mielichhoferiaceae, Bryaceae, and Mniaceae). The FT-IR spectra ranging 4000 cm−1 650 of were obtained. To group according their spectral similarity in a dendrogram, cluster analysis principal component (PCA) performed. Cluster combined PCA give rough result classification among samples. However, some species belonging same genus exhibited very similar chemical components spectra. Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) enhance differences Three scales selected as feature-extracting space DWT domain. Results showed that chemometrics suitable for systematic research bryophytes.

Identification of Colitis and Cancer in Colon Biopsies by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and Chemometrics

Cancer is a disease that does great harms to the health of human beings. FT-IR spectroscopy could identify variability at the molecular level in biological specimens. It is a rapid and noninvasive method, which could be used intraoperatively to modify surgical procedures. The aim of this paper is to identify and separate cancer from colitis in endoscopic colon biopsies through the use of FT-IR ...

Cancer grading by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.

Thirty-nine freeze-dried tissue samples from 17 lymphoid tumors (nine malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphomas) were studied by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The absorbance ratio A1121/A1020 increased, along with the emergence of an absorbance pulse at 1121 cm-1, with increasing clinicopathological grade of malignant lymphoma. An increasing A1121/A1020 ratio from benign to malignant ...
